Bien que les fêtes de fin d'année semblent déjà loin, j'espère que vous avez tous pu profiter de la beauté de l'hiver et que vous continuerez à le faire en attendant que le printemps arrive tout doucement. May 2022 bring us peace and hope for new beginnings. 

Préparation de l'évaluation synchronisée CIS/MSA/IB 

La visite d'évaluation CIS aura lieu du 7 au 11 février 2022. 

Comme vous le savez, la visite d'évaluation de l'équipe CIS/MSA/IB approche à grands pas. Le calendrier finalisé des réunions a été publié sur MyEcolint. 

La création d'un calendrier qui répond aux exigences des trois organisations autorisées pour trois campus, huit écoles et treize comités d'auto-évaluation est une tâche monumentale habilement menée par Rosaline Marquis et Stéphanie Blaser, en collaboration avec Claire Jourdain. Un grand merci à elles pour leur travail acharné. 

I am truly proud of all the hard work undertaken by so many to prepare for this visit. I have no doubt that the visiting team will be impressed with the Foundation’s many accomplishments. 

Sur chaque campus, deux réunions supplémentaires sont programmées pour que les visiteurs CIS/MSA/IB puissent rencontrer 1) le personnel enseignant et 2) le personnel non-enseignant. Si vous souhaitez avoir l'occasion de vous entretenir avec l'équipe d’accréditation, veuillez vous inscrire sur le lien approprié ci-dessus. Les 8-10 premières personnes inscrites recevront une invitation du calendrier Google.

The RIPE organising committee is currently soliciting articles for the Fall 2022 edition of the Research Journal: International Education Theory and Practice. The deadline for submission is 15 June 2022. If interested, please contact karen.taylor@ecolinnt.ch. Articles will be peer-reviewed by an editorial board prior to final acceptance. An online RIPE (Research Informed Practice in Education) conference will be held in April 2022 to mark the publication. Details will be forthcoming.

Les Principes d’apprentissage de l’Ecolint/The Learning Principles

Conformément au premier pilier des ambitions stratégiques, nous continuons à travailler ensemble pour rendre les principes d'apprentissage visibles, intégrés et compris par les enseignants, les élèves et les parents.

Ecolint/Durham University Initial Teacher Training Programme (PGCE International)

Since 2010, over 150 prospective teachers have successfully completed the The Ecolint / Durham University Initial Teacher Education programme and have gone on to go on to teach in a variety of roles in international schools across the world.  

The  programme has evolved considerably over this period. For the first time, in August 2021, the programme was expanded to include a part-time model and enrolled a new cohort of candidates, offering classroom teaching and learning support assistants the opportunity to complete the initial teacher education course in two years, whilst continuing to work in a classroom. 

The Ecolint Foundation is now opening enrollment for a second part-time cohort to begin the two-year, part-time initial teacher education programme in August 2022 and we invite interested candidates to apply. Open to classroom assistants and other staff working with children in the primary classroom, the part-time initial teacher education model offers candidates the opportunity to undertake professional training, academic study and research through in-person and online delivery.

In collaboration with Durham University, the Ecolint Institute of Learning and Teaching offers this two-year graduate programme with weekly in person and online professional workshops, practical in-class training, academic modules delivered through online lectures and seminar discussions. Academic and specialist conferences are offered online and student teachers are supported by professional tutors, mentors and lecturers. Successful graduates of this programme receive a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International) (PGCE International) from Durham University and The International School of Geneva Certificate in Applied Pedagogy  / Certificat de l’Ecole Internationale de Genève en Pédagogie Appliquée.

La nouveauté de cette année est la possibilité pour les assistants de classe de l'Ecolint ayant une grande expérience de la classe, mais sans diplôme, de participer au programme d'études supérieures, qui aboutit à l'obtention du Certificat de l'Ecole Internationale de Genève en Pédagogie Appliquée / The International School of Geneva Certificate in Applied Pedagogy. Des informations détaillées sur la procédure de candidature seront bientôt disponibles. 

The Ecolint/Durham University initial teacher training course is successful thanks to the support from many of you in the Foundation and in our area partner schools (La Côte International School, Institut Florimont, International School of Lausanne, Institut International de Lancy and Collège Champittet).  

We would like to thank everyone who has served as a mentor or school link, offered a workshop session, or contributed in any other way to this exceptional programme. Mentoring a trainee is a powerful experience in professional learning for both the novice and the veteran teacher. Notre travail continu sur l'Inclusion 

Les membres du groupe de travail sur l'inclusion continuent à travailler dans toute une série de domaines qui nous permettront de vivre plus pleinement notre mission telle qu'elle est énoncée dans ce document, L’inclusion à l’Ecolint. This document includes the aligned policies and procedures for learning support and ESP in all schools, primary and secondary and emphasizes our commitment to shared responsibility for the success of all our learners. 

Les équipes de la Fondation continuent de travailler avec Ochan Kusuma-Powell et Kristen Pelletier dans le cadre de sessions individuelles. Une fois de plus, je pense à la chance que nous avons d'avoir les ressources et la formation dont nous avons besoin pour vivre notre mission.
