Classroom Climate

This bilingually taught module (English/French) will seek to deconstruct the relationship between emotion and cognition and will explore modes of communication and pedagogical practices that support education for intercultural understanding in diverse classroom settings. 

The course comprises 4 sessions of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and can be delivered in-person in your school.

About the Facilitator

Karen Taylor is Director of Education and the Institute for Learning and Teaching at the International School of Geneva and Associate Professor of Practice in the Faculty of Education at Durham University, England. Prior to moving to Switzerland in 2008, Dr. Taylor taught at Sidwell Friends School and in the Liberal Studies Program at Georgetown University, Washington, DC (USA) where she received her PhD in History in 2000. Dr. Taylor's research interests include eighteenth-century French educational writing, global citizenship education, inclusion, and plurilingual education.
