GEHOT - Gifted Education and High Order Thinking: Improving Learning Outcomes for Every Students

This course aims to explore the meaning of ‘Gifted and Talented’; how we identify students who may be gifted and how we support these students emotionally. 

The course is normally a 9 module course. This year we will pilot a shortened 3 module course which will cover the following:

  • Module 1: 6 November 2017 - Concepts of giftedness and characteristics of gifted students, by Alison Ball
  • Module 2: 20 November 2017 - Identifying gifted students, by Mike Garbutt
  • Module 3: 26 February 2017 - Social and emotional characteristics and vulnerabilities associated with giftedness, by Alison Ball and Tricia Matthews
