Quels sont les facilitateurs des transitions langagières de la langue maternelle à la langue scolaire ?
J'aimerais étudier les phases de transition en maternelle pour offrir un cadre de réflexion théorique et des outils pratiques aux écoles et aux familles. Sur le sujet : quels sont les facilitateurs des transitions langagières de la langue maternelle à la langue scolaire et vice-versa ? Je travaille comme ""teacher-librarian"" à GESS, German European School of Singapore. La maternelle (preschool) offre un cursus bilingue anglais-allemand, dans le contexte quadrilingue de Singapour (anglais, mandarin, tamoul, malais). Elle accueille des enfants de 2 à 6 ans de toute nationalité, dont certains n'ont ni anglais ni allemand à la maison. L'an prochain, nous devons implémenter un système de flash cards maison, notamment pour les enfants de 3 à 5 ans.
J'apprécierai votre retour sur comment développer ces réflexions en cours en un réel projet de recherche donnant lieu à publication et plus d'études.
Karine, MLIS, PhD, is a language researcher and practitioner holding a double degree in computational linguistics and information science. Having transformed her youth dream of having twins -to study how they would develop language skills- into parenting her two children towards multilingualism, she specialized into children’s language development and also trained as storyteller and Music together® teacher for the early age. A (former) monolingual/monocultural person, Karine brings her passion for neurolinguistics and tech as well as the deep understanding of the diverse reality of today’s global world to parents and schools. She has over 15 years of diversified experience in linguistics, bilingual programme development, multilingual storytelling, and training with children and adults within various countries across North America, Europe and Asia. Her last publications include articles about motivation and the role of growth mindset in language education as well as editing a book on Third Culture Kids. Karine currently works for the German European School of Singapore as Teacher Librarian and Specialist for the dual immersion classes.
